HATCRETE Colourmix is an admixture that integrally colours new concrete. It can be used in pre-cast or cast-in-situ applications and can be colour matched to blend in or complement the surrounding landscape – please see pictures above for completed projects using Colourmix.

HATCRETE Colourmix is not a conventional concrete dye or pigment and has totally superseded other methods of colouring concrete. It is a precision manufactured concrete admixture with stringently controlled properties which displays numerous advantages over basic concrete dye and concrete pigment.

HATCRETE Colourmix concrete colouring admixture widely extends the otherwise very limiting aspects of ordinary grey concrete and is used wherever an integral colour is needed.

HATCRETE Colourmix concrete colour is pre-weighed and packaged within water-soluble bags. Each bag is sufficient to colour 1 cubic metre of concrete, or smaller batch sizes as specified, and is formulated to be added directly to the concrete mix.

For smaller batches: HATCRETE Adcolour is a similar product to HATCRETE Colourmix. It is available in the same range of colours but packaged in 20kg bags suitable for small users and pre-casters who need to batch varying sized smaller quantities of coloured concrete.

None of the colours match the shade I am after, can you make me a bespoke colour?

Subject to a minimum order, we offer a colour matching service where bespoke colours can be produced. These can be matched from a colour chart or existing concrete or stone.

Won’t concrete treated with Hatcrete Colourmix fade or appear streaky?

No, all pigments used in the manufacture of Hatcrete® Colourmix are UV stable. Unlike raw pigments, our unique formulation gives consistent uniform colours from pour to pour and is not detrimental to the concrete mix.

What is the dosage rate for each cubic metre of concrete?

Hatcrete® Colourmix is packaged in an inner water soluble bag that goes straight into the concrete mixer; one bag colours one cubic metre of concrete – the formulation is altered to take into account the specified mix design, dependant on the cement content.
